Tree Felling or removal

Our experienced and qualified staff are highly skilled in the removal of trees on restricted sites using the very latest lowering equipment and machinery to minimise disturbance to the surrounding landscape. 

Pruning

Crown Reduction - Reduction of the canopy to suitable growth points to balance the crown and manage the size of fast growing species.

Crown Raise - Removing lower limbs to gain height or sight lines.

Crown Thin - Removing epicormic* growth and increasing light through the canopy.  

Pollarding - Removal of all the limbs leaving the trunk bare, usually on a 5 year rotation. 

Coppice - Cutting to the ground level to encourage multiple new shoots to regrow / regenerate.

Fruit Tree Pruning - For fruit production and health of the trees.

Topiary work - Trimming of box hedges & ornamental shrubs.

(*epicormic: a shoot or branch, growing from a previously dormant bud on the trunk / limb of a tree)

Stump Removal

We have compact and powerful stump grinding machines which are able to grind down problem stumps with minimal disturbance.

Eco-plugs

Highly effective, slow release herbicide treatment for stumps prone to regeneration after felling.

Hedge cutting 

Annual trimming to maintain privacy or screening and improve sight lines if required. Also used to regenerate neglected and overgrown hedges. Branchage works also undertaken bi-annually.

Cable Bracing 

Using the latest, non-invasive Cobra system to support weak or unstable branch unions.
